About me

Hi, I'm Alex!!

I am a product manager with the expertise of Data Science and experience working in the e-commerce industry dealing with catalog data. I'm wishing to take my career onto a new higher level and become a more technical product manager that sometimes get to do a bit of hands-on technical work for fun.

My first job out of college was a product management role back in 2020 within Wayfair. During the beginning of working as an associate PM, I also used my free time outside of work to pursue a full time master degree in data science as well. Both of these crafts are very interesting to me and are experiences I want to allow me to build technical DS products later into my career. Working full time and going back to school full time was challenging but rewarding, since I was able to apply some of my learnings to my actual job as well. An example of this is when I single handedly dove into our database to find the data sources to create a cost and usage dashboard for our data assets that our team never kept track of. Thankfully, in May of 2022 I finally completed my course work got my MS in Applied Data Science and was able to figure out how to have an actual life outside of work haha.

My life outside of of work and school sounds like an average guy in their 20s. I'd explore restaurants near me, traveling to different cities, learning new songs to sing and play on the guitar, and always telling myself I should go to the gym but it'd end up on the top of my new years resolution list every year. Since I sometimes do random things to satisfy my curiosity such as making music covers and cooking videos, I also have created a YouTube channel to keep track of my random-ness. There's probably more random things that I'll be posting in the future. So that's it, this is a basic quick intro about me. If you want to know learn more about me feel free to connect with me.
